BIO

Dr. Annyella Douglas was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She completed her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Temple University, Master’s degree in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida and Medical Degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She then completed her dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

During her academic training, Dr. Douglas provided dermatologic health care in Ghana through the Global Health Scholars program. Her accolades include recognition as a VisualDx Impact Leader and the National Medical Association Young Physician of the Year Award.

Dr. Douglas specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She provides exceptional and personalized care for every patient, and treats a wide range of common and complex disorders including acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair disorders, hidradenitis suppurativa, pigmentary conditions and skin cancers in patients of all ages and skin types. Her research interests include hair loss and hidradenitis suppurativa.

Dr. Douglas will complete a one-year hair restoration fellowship in 2024 with International Hair Loss Expert Dr. Matt Leavitt - founder of Medical Hair Restoration, Executive Medical Advisor for Bosley, and Executive Chairman and Founder of Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery. This advanced expertise is empowering her to bring techniques for the treatment and management of thinning hair at the highest levels to her patients. Customized treatment plans may include oral or topical medications, PRP Therapy for hair, low-level laser therapy, and even surgical hair restoration/transplantation options. Staying on the leading-edge of advancements allows her to offer more effective and affordable treatment options than ever for men and women to restore their hair… and their confidence.

Family, Home, and Passions
Dr. Douglas is excited to join the South Florida community and in her free time enjoys going to the beach, hiking, reading non-fiction books, and mentoring future physicians.
