S.T.R.A.N.D.™ is a stylist education organization that bridges the gap between hair stylists and dermatologists in addressing hair loss and scalp concerns. Stylists receive science-based education directly from dermatologists to recognize early signs of hair loss and other scalp health issues, while learning when to refer clients to a dermatologist for diagnosis and medical treatment. S.T.R.A.N.D.'s signature curriculum for cosmetologists covers hair biology, infections of the scalp, scarring and non-scarring forms of alopecia, proper in-salon techniques, medical treatment options, ingredient deep dives, and more to ensure stylists are trained to provide clients with a hair loss plan that integrates medical treatments with wellness practices.
Through its programs, S.T.R.A.N.D. fosters collaboration between stylists and dermatologists to create consistent, personalized treatment plans that improve outcomes for clients.

Your Scalp, Your Skin™ Community Brunches unite dermatologists, stylists, and the public for honest, easy-to-understand conversations about hair loss, scalp health, and overall wellness. S.T.R.A.N.D. dermatologists and stylists host open panels for attendees to gain clarity on hair loss, cosmetic marketing, and how to access care.

A collaboration formed over a mutual love for hair and client care, Master Licensed Cosmetologist/Hair Loss Specialist Susan L.
